This has nothing to with Wordle, but I don't know where else to say this:

I reject and abhor those who would deprive my fellow citizens of their equal status under the law. These people couch their bigotry and fear in carefully crafted bullshit.

It's time, once again, for the courts to stand for justice, and to strike down these outrageous laws, which deprive people of their rights.

Same sex marriage has been legal in Canada for some time now. We've had a lesbian couple and their son living next door for 4 or 5 years. They are a family of people and good neighbours. Their presence in the neighbourhood is as normal as any other family. We are lucky to have them living beside us.

If everything were left up to referenda, slavery would still be legal in some states. It's time for our President to promulgate right-to-marry proclamation for those denied this right legislatively.

We're not talking about a union "sanctioned by God" here; we're talking about a union sanctioned by the government, and carrying with it all the rights and responsibilities afforded any other legal (as opposed to spiritual) marriage.
